You don’t have to keep pretending you’re okay

Counseling for Teens and Women in Houston, TX

Do you find yourself struggling trying to hold it all together? You smile, you show up, and pretend you

are doing “just fine”… but inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or maybe even numb?

You may even wonder, “Why can’t I just feel normal?”.

The pressure of managing everyday responsibilities, life’s challenges, unexpected situations, and

your overall emotional and mental wellbeing all on your own can feel like too much at times. The truth

is that it can be.

That is why I’m really glad you’re here. You have taken the first step for a better today and a

promising tomorrow.

Yared R. Salazar, LPC-S

Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor

Hi I’m Yared,

I enjoy working with teens and women who feel stuck in cycles that are challenging to break. Whether it is anxiety, sadness, self-doubt, or the pressure to be “fine.”

I know starting therapy can feel like stepping into the unknown and maybe even a little scary. You might wonder if talking will really help, or change anything.

Through a strong therapeutic alliance, I will help you identify and challenge the unhelpful and or

unhealthy thinking and behavioral patterns, that consequently bring upon those undesirable feelings you may be experiencing and teach you how to replace them to obtain a more positive and fulfilling life.

As Wayne Dyer said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change.”

I invite you to give yourself the opportunity to find out if this can be a good fit for you during a free 15-minute consultation.

She is wearing a graphic t-shirt, black skirt, and has jewelry including rings, bracelets, and a necklace. In our sessions, you will find yourself in a welcoming non-judgmental space where there’s no pressure to have it all figured out, where you can be your true yourself, and where your story is safe.

Whether you are facing challenges related to anxiety, sadness, past wounds, or just feeling stuck, I will meet you where you are and walk with you instilling hope, empowering you, supporting you, and providing you with tools to help you become the best version of yourself.

I will be happy to walk alongside you in your therapy journey. Let’s take the next step together.
