When you’ve had enough of being tired and overwhelmed.

Counseling for Women, Men and Teens in Houston, TX

You’ve spent so long holding it all together—on the outside, you look fine, but inside, you're tired, anxious, and stretched thin. Maybe you’ve lost your sense of peace, or maybe you’re trying to heal from something you still don’t have words for. You’re not broken—you’re carrying more than anyone ever saw.

At Created to Shine Counseling, we see you.
We specialize in therapy for adults and teens who feel overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected from their purpose. Whether it’s anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, or trauma, we help you gently untangle what’s weighing you down—so you can feel grounded, whole, and free to move forward.

Rooted in Christian values but open to all, we meet you where you are—with compassion, clinical excellence, and deep respect for your story. Our goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to walk beside you as you reclaim peace, clarity, and connection.

You were created to shine—and we’re here to help you remember that.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or career stress, I provide a safe and compassionate space where you can share your heart and receive clarity, tools, and encouragement to overcome your struggles and grow in your faith.

Who We Help

You might be the strong one in your circle—the one everyone leans on. But lately, the pressure has been too much. Whether you're feeling anxious, navigating a tough relationship, or facing burnout from constantly doing it all, you're not alone.

At Created to Shine Counseling, we offer specialized therapy for:

  • Women navigating anxiety, relationship stress, or emotional exhaustion

  • Men seeking clarity, healing from trauma, or struggling with identity and stress

  • Teens quietly dealing with anxiety, self-esteem issues, or family conflict

We use evidence-based approaches like EMDR and trauma-informed care—grounded in faith for those who want it, always rooted in compassion.

How is therapy like?

1st Session

In the first session, you will talk about what you want to achieve from therapy. I will ask you questions to get to know you a little bit more and will be more interview-like. By the end of the session, we will both have a good idea and direction of what the following sessions will look like. To help with that, we will develop a treatment plan according to your unique goals, strengths, and barriers. At that point, you can decide if we are a good fit and schedule your next session.

Sessions 2-3

The following sessions are about getting to know you a little bit more, deepening our therapeutic relationship, and feeling like you have more grip over your goals. At this stage, we can work on redefining your goal plan, or begin working on them. Having clarity over the treatment plan usually takes about 1-4 sessions. You can expect to have homework after each session.

Sessions After

This is where you will start to get the hang of things. You will now be able to look back and see a little mini pre-therapy you. You will have a basic understanding of how therapy is your unique tool, and will begin to use your therapy skills in your everyday life. You will now begin to work on your goals with greater strength and confidence.
