How is therapy like?

1st Session

In the first session, you will talk about what you want to achieve from therapy. I will ask you questions to get to know you a little bit more and will be more interview-like. By the end of the session, we will both have a good idea and direction of what the following sessions will look like. To help with that, we will develop a treatment plan according to your unique goals, strengths, and barriers. At that point, you can decide if we are a good fit and schedule your next session.

Sessions 2-3

The following sessions are about getting to know you a little bit more, deepening our therapeutic relationship, and feeling like you have more grip over your goals. At this stage, we can work on redefining your goal plan, or begin working on them. Having clarity over the treatment plan usually takes about 1-4 sessions. You can expect to have homework after each session.

Sessions After

This is where you will start to get the hang of things. You will now be able to look back and see a little mini pre-therapy you. You will have a basic understanding of how therapy is your unique tool, and will begin to use your therapy skills in your everyday life. You will now begin to work on your goals with greater strength and confidence.
